Ironsworn: Worldbuilding

Post by wokste »

To make sure we aren't playing in a vacuum, I have generated some stuff. I used the settings for outlands.

Celeris Nine (Player starship):
Our brightly painted starship is called the Cerelis Nine. It is armed, multi-purpose and suited for interstellar and atmospheric flight. It can comfortably transport several people, has space for cargo, and can carry and launch support vehicles. When we Advance, we may spend experience to equip this vehicle with module assets.

Morricone (Desert planet):
Morricone is a desert planet. Consider a pitiless planet of searing heat, blowing sand, and sunbaked rock. While the atmosphere is ideal, life is somehow extinct (except for a single settlement called Brink). It has engulfing sandstorms and scorched glass plains.
Some intergalactic enemy has claim on this area. It will also be possible to find clues to the history or nature of this place. All of this can happen during play.

Brink (Starting location):
Brink is a planetside settlement, with a broken resource in a repurposed ship. Its population is hundreds. The Authority is tolerant and asks for help. They have a project involving secrecy and a trouble with an overdue delivery.

Nearby settlements:
These settlements are in the same sector as Brink. These can be used as character origin or we may travel there later.
  • Evenfall, a settlement on a rocky planet with thousands of people in a hidden or subsurface location. The planet has a dense ring system and a very thin atmoshere.
  • Altair, an orbital settlement with hundreds of people. It has a rustic architecture.
Factions of interest:
These factions may have interest in the player party, the locations and/or the vows we'll define.
  • The broken Outcasts, a localized dominion faction. Their influence is diplomatic and and they have a democratic leadership (with elected representatives).
  • Commonwealth of the Enlightened Skulls is a fringe group of exiles. Their influence is somehow inescapable though.
Feel free to ask questions or add more details to locations, factions, etc. This is especially true during play.
