I'm looking for a version of The Infamous Worm Game that is still runnable. (The old version ran in a Java applet, and Java applets are obsolete since long...)

I've been trying to get an applet running. I've got a VM with XP and Java 7 installed. While Java 8 is the last version that runs on XP, it is refuses to run (timebomb). When using Java 7, Firefox will complain Java is too old, but will allow you to run it anyways,

Trying to get it to work on a modern linux, you'll need a browser that still supports NPAPI, so PaleMoon and Basilisk come to mind. The IcedTea plugin loads, but something doesn't work. I suppose it tried to load a current Java VM, which does not cooperate.
